The mark has always been a question for me. Will it be an electronic tag of some sort? Is it a tattoo? How will it play in today's world?
Well let us pose this possibility. Maybe we have been looking and participating in this mark for a while now.
Keep in mind that the "Beast" is basically the nations we all live in. Some of us even take gregarious part in voting for its leaders.
Seeing that there are two elements to this "mark" which is a mark in the hand and in the head; keeping with this contrast, most countries divide their voting populations along two distinct lines of thought. Usually this is a labor party and a liberal party.
To be clear, in the US, the main demarcation is between democrats and republicans. The Democrats, or liberals, can be considered the Party of the Head. The Republicans, or labor party, the party of the hand.
Maybe our fervent push to represent one or the other is us gaining our mark. This places us as patriotic and taking part in our nation's future and politics.
This season offers two paths and only two paths to US leadership. Most states lock you into one or the other which makes people choose against parts of things they may not agree with because of this two party system.
This two party system doesn't just exist in US or UK but investigate anywhere that "democracy" exists. The two party system is developed and sides are picked. Much to the dismay of people that may not be familiar with the process. To learn democracy is to be divided for the sake of "party".
The more I consider the theory of two party systems being the "marks" the more it starts to make sense.

How does this theory fit with not being able to buy or sell without the mark?
ReplyDeleteI am on board with the beasts or beast system being ruling or governmental bodies but the "Mark of the Beast" must be something that we have to do,or have, in order to buy or sell.
It is also something that will be forced upon all people great or small. Those who refuse this mark will be killed.
I don't however want to be guilty of worshipping the image of the Beast either which is why I googled the Beast system and voting and happened upon your article.
It is voting time right now here in Utah with about an hour left before the polls close. I'm trying to decide whether or not to vote at all. I don't agree with many of the viewpoints or morals of either of the major candidates.
I'm not sure that voting is the Mark of the Beast per say, but there is no doubt in my mind that the world's governing bodies(possibly including religious governing bodies) are the Beast, or at least the source from which the Beasts will come.
I especially do not want to offend God in any way!
To me, that is the most important consideration in deciding whether or not to vote, Period.
