There are things about Trump's presidency that is problematic on many fronts.
One of which is the racist tone. That though is not the most dangerous thing of his presidency.
His presidency has revealed that half of this country is actually in favor of fascist leadership and authoritarian government. This part surprises me everytime I think about it.
America has always been a wielder of democratic princcples. A goverment by the people for the people. Trump has revealed that half the people could care less what the other half wants or needs.
Thats a problem.
Fascism has had Hitler's face because no one had seen this at an international scale. All countries at that time were faced with how to deal with a dictator with the tools to take over. World domination was knocking at the door. Noteably, America was looking at all of this at first, not in disgust, but in curiosity. America was not busting at the seems to go kill Nazis, they were oddly attracted to Hitler's schtict.
America finally responds to Japan and then rose Japanese hate so fast as to eclipse the Nazi notions of the nation. But this was all theater because America had a fascist underpinning.
Fascism's first appearance in modern terms was not Germany but here in the United States under the flag of the Confederacy. The difference is that it was focused on one soil.
Hitler is not the definition of fascism. Fascists exist and are being grown constantly but none will become Hitlers. Conditioning creates slumbering fascists until they are awoken.
Its kind of a bee-hive theory. Natural bee-hives are controlled environments controlled by the bees themselves. It actually comes out of the bees and each piece builds upon itself into a fortress that protects quite well from the elements. This doesn't sound bad but in the context of democracy, they can be exclusionary.
Trumpism pays against democracy because it doesn't have the desired feedback loop of praise and adoration. Democracy builds upon building the best life for the country not just the piece that believe in the hive theory.
In terms of Babylon the Great, the bible talks about Babylon's daughters. The Confederacy again fills this description fairly well. The Confederacy lost the civil war but won under Andrew Johnson, regained its land holdings from former slaves, and returned to legislative power. From there it worked on establishing systems that would entrench inequality for black and brown people that may be very hard to disentangle.
These unfair practices was actually ported to other countries outside of the US to establish grabs for control and resources.
We are at the point in prophecy that talks about the fall of Babylon the Great and the Mark of the Beast. The mark is transactional and Trump is blatantly transactional and so is fascism as a whole.
This election in Biden's favor is less of an end but a confirmation that there are folks ready to fight. Reminder, the next horseman to ride is the war horseman.
