6. THE DRAGON PERIOD

Now human rulership has failed miserably and the King is upset. The King is probably thinking, “These little Christians just won’t go away. They may even have a little something to do with what is going on with the planet. If we get rid of them, maybe, just maybe we can survive this thing and continue with what we want to do.” Uh oh, the king is about to make a very fatal mistake. Let’s look at some scriptures.

Daniel 7:7,8. 7 "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. 8 "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
Daniel 11:31-45. 31 "His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. 32 With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him. 33 "Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered. 34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them. 35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time. 36 "The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place. 37 He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price. 40 "At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Nubians in submission. 44 But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. 45 He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
Matthew 24:9-28. "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. 15"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. 18Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. 19How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time. 26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
Mark 13:9-23. "You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. 10And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. 11Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. 12Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 13All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation' standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out. 16Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. 17How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 18Pray that this will not take place in winter, 19because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again. 20If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. 21At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it. 22For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible. 23So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time."
Luke 21:12-24. "But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13This will result in your being witnesses to them. 14But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. 15For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17All men will hate you because of me. 18But not a hair of your head will perish. 19By standing firm you will gain life. 20When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
Revelation 6:7,8. "When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."

This Dragon Period is the worst because no longer is the King and nation trying to just rule over people in general he is attempting to eliminate what he sees as the problem all along. Christians. This is probably why this particular beast is unlike the others because its goal is the destruction of the Christian system.

The ten horns may just be a completed 10 kingdom split of the entire world. You can find maps and plans online to discover that there is already an idea how to split this world up. The most popular thought is to create unions much like the European Union. You would end up with the European Union, African Union, South American Union, Central American Union, Asian Union, Central Asian Union, Pacific Union, Caribbean Community, Mediterranean Union, and the North American Union. There is your suggested ten.

Now Daniel goes on to say there is one horn/nation that comes up after these. It will have eyes and a mouth like a man. This is impossible to figure. I am fairly certain that more than likely it will come up from where ever the Freemason sentiment has settled. It may seem far fetched but they or who ever is holding onto and practicing the esoteric/humanist knowledge, at the time, will rise and take hold of this beast and began to speak amazing things against God himself and will seek to destroy Christianity.

Daniel does mention in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 three horns and three nations that are “saved” from before this horn. Even Jesus words mention that we should run when we notice the abomination causing desolation. Where do we go? Apparently it may be two nations out of the ten divisions that are welcoming of the Christian values refined and honed at that time. Christianity at that time versus now will be better refined. Remember all of the struggles and tribulations through these four periods work to refine and purify God’s people.

Daniel Chapter 11:31-45 and Matthew 29:9-28 seem to be on opposite sides of the story. Daniel is giving us the story from the point of view of this crazy King and Matthew is giving us the story from the point of view of the faithful. We have obviously come to the point where the Christians have to take a full stand in faith. There is no “well maybe”. You either will be for God or Man.

In regards to how a planet x might effect this scenario, I suspect that actually the effects of planet x may have lessened to a certain degree. This may give the King the impetus to then call up to the heavens in contempt. The nature of man, if they survive a terrible ordeal, should be to thank God. In some instances this is just a show. Some men take the given opportunity and live dangerously because they think they have got nothing to lose. This is the mindset of this King. He is dead set on his rule even to his own detriment. A disastrous close call of planetary destruction can either bring out the best in a person or the worse. There is no middle ground.

Jesus comforting words in all the gospels is important for us to heed. There won’t be much left to hang onto except his words if it gets as bad as we think it is. The overwhelming theme for this period is a concentration on the Christian faith. The world wants to stamp it out and the faithful want to survive. This plays an important part because the last Christians on earth will actually see and live through all of the devastating trumpet blasts. Yes really! This is why they are the remnant.

But I digress... the 5th, 6th, and 7th seals are envisioned from the heavens to the state of what will be the final Christians upon earth.

The Christians of the 6th seal are a very special group. They will gain the awards that are depicted in Revelation Chapter 7. These Christians have absorbed the knowledge and faith of their predecessors and know that they are about to die for there faith. They don’t survive by chance. They survive by the strongest faith that anyone can muster. They survived and stayed loyal through world wide turmoil and still praise their father in the heavens. I will discuss more about them in Chapter 7.

Once the final Christians of the Seventh Seal are taken up to heaven, the earth would have received the judgments that are depicted by all of the seven trumpet blasts. This book doesn't go into that but read your bible to further your understanding on this and to gain further understanding on other elements.
