Understanding Dimensions from 0 to 7: A Metaphysical Exploration

In this exploration of dimensions, we move from the simplest concepts of existence into a layered metaphysical framework that mirrors the physical world and extends into spiritual realms. Here's a breakdown of each dimension and how it ties into both our understanding of the universe and deeper spiritual concepts.

Dimension 0: Existence vs. Non-Existence

In the zero dimension, there is only the binary state: something either exists, or it doesn't. This dimension is foundational, where the potential for existence is present, but there’s no complexity or space. A creature in this dimension would not observe anything—it would only recognize whether it is or isn't.

Dimension 1: The Dot

In the first dimension, we experience the existence of a point. A creature in this dimension would perceive only this point and nothing beyond it. Its observation would be limited to the acknowledgment of the existence of another point, but without any depth, direction, or other spatial awareness. The first dimension is the simplest form of perception: on/off or existence/non-existence, similar to how computers operate on binary code to create complex systems.

Dimension 2: The Flat Plane

Here, entities can perceive length and width, but no depth. All objects and beings exist in a flat, two-dimensional plane. A creature in this dimension might observe intricate patterns and movement within this plane, but with no concept of "up" or "down." Interestingly, humans—while existing in the third dimension—plan most things using two-dimensional tools, such as drawing on paper or designing using basic binary processes in computers.

Dimension 3: Depth, Space, and Time

The third dimension is our everyday reality, where length, width, and depth coexist. A creature in the third dimension perceives the full complexity of physical objects and experiences time as moving forward. Time is placed in the third dimension because our perception of its flow is tied to our physical existence on a rotating planet. We perceive time as forward-moving because we exist in a world where day and night, seasons, and all life processes follow cyclical patterns.

Humans, existing in this dimension, cast 2D shadows, and our actions and decisions often leave “shadows” in lower dimensions.

Dimension 4: The Spiritual and Hierarchical Realm

The fourth dimension transcends the physical and introduces a metaphysical or spiritual hierarchy. Here, beings like **angels** might exist, with their presence and influence casting "shadows" on the third dimension. Human beings, historically, have always exhibited an affinity for hierarchy, a concept deeply embedded in nearly all societies. This tendency, I would argue, reflects the shadows of higher dimensions upon our own, particularly the fourth dimension.

In the Bible, angels frequently interact with humanity, such as the angel Gabriel’s visitation to Mary (Luke 1:26-38) or the angel who guides Lot out of Sodom (Genesis 19). These examples suggest that the fourth dimension is a realm where spiritual beings operate, influencing and guiding human events. It appears to be a stacking of influence and power, where each higher dimension bears influence upon the ones below it.

Dimension 5: The Realm of the Cherubim

In Ezekiel 1, we encounter **cherubim**, who are depicted as majestic creatures associated with God's presence. The fifth dimension might represent a gateway or filter for holiness, serving as a boundary or test for higher access. Just as the Sphinx in Egypt might be considered a symbol of this, cherubim guard sacred spaces in both physical and spiritual realms.

The idea of a gateway can be found in the **movie *The NeverEnding Story***, where characters must prove their worth to pass through. Similarly, the fifth dimension could be a realm where only those who are worthy can pass, and it may act as a barrier between the spiritual and the divine.

Dimension 6: The Expanse—Holy Spirit

In Ezekiel's vision, above the cherubim is an expanse, which can be interpreted as the sixth dimension. This realm aligns with the **Holy Spirit**, as described throughout the Bible. The Spirit is often depicted as a vast, formless expanse, representing God's omnipresence and power. Here, I see a direct parallel to the creative energy humans possess. Just as the Holy Spirit is a divine creative force, humans also engage in creation—whether through the simple act of drawing on paper or creating complex worlds through the binary ones and zeros of computers.

The expanse, like the Holy Spirit, is fluid and far-reaching, representing a dimension where creation is not bound by the physical constraints of space.

Dimension 7: The Throne of God

Finally, Ezekiel describes a throne above the expanse, where God sits. This seventh dimension represents the ultimate divine authority, existing beyond the physical and spiritual realms below. Just as humans exercise dominion over the dimensions below us, God, in the seventh dimension, holds dominion over all creation. The Bible describes God as the creator and ruler of everything, and in this dimension, God’s authority is absolute.

In **Genesis 1:27**, we are told that humans are made in God's image, and in this dimensional framework, that statement gains deeper meaning. Humans, as three-dimensional beings, hold power over the lower dimensions but remain beneath the divine authority of God, who reigns in the seventh dimension.

Conclusion

This theory of dimensions, from zero to seven, creates a comprehensive framework that spans both the physical and spiritual realms. It suggests that each dimension influences those below it, much like the shadows cast by three-dimensional objects onto a two-dimensional plane. Humans, existing in the third dimension, are subject to the influence of the fourth dimension, where spiritual beings such as angels reside, and beyond that, to the fifth and sixth dimensions, where divine and holy forces come into play. Ultimately, the seventh dimension, where God resides, governs all creation, including our own reality. This dimensional hierarchy reflects both the structure of the universe and the spiritual truths expressed throughout history and scripture.
